 This was my week- end knitting project.They are traveling with me and going to a special girl.

Hollyhocks

I have tried to grow Hollyhocks for three years!  

 I had some old seeds I found in the drawer, and decided to try one more time

 Last fall Sarah and I (mostly Sarah) threw some outdated seeds 

 in the garden.

 They are finally blooming!

 Hollyhocks and Bells of Ireland.  A nice combination for

 a spring garden.

I love my garden in the spring, and the hummingbirds do too.  I was watering the herb garden and this guy decided to take a bath in the sprinkler.  So fun to watch!

Everything was happening at the Zoo today

This was my first time actually seeing a peacock with its full plumage. Even the little blackbird in front couldn't stop looking.
